About Us

Jeffrey has worked in the performing arts and events industry for more than two decades, always with a creative hobby or two going on the side. Susan began as a musician and singer in high school and college and maintains those as a hobby, along with knitting and other crafts.

In 2021 we discovered handcrafted pen making.

It began as a hobby, with Jeffrey crafting a few kit pens for a few family members, and he caught the bug. Soon this hobby became the pursuit of creating a writing instrument that was completely our design. Jeffrey designed the cap, body, and grip section for the Blossom and Heartwood pen lines and Susan brings her artistic eye to the colors and designs for our blanks. Jeffrey crafts every component except the nib. 

In late 2024 we adopted the name Red Branch Crafts, paying homage to the name of the cherry, peach, and pecan orchards of Jeffrey’s grandfather and great-grandfather. We established our workshop in downtown Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania where we create our signature pieces featuring custom resin blanks, unique wood and resin combinations, and custom inlays.
